flaON updates
A few new updates to my flaON system that improve the stability and home security. I've periodically switched between MQTT and Webthing. Each platform has its own pluses and minuses. In the previous version I used the API websocket to communicate with NodeRed. As a webtool NodeRed is great, stable, fast, but it doesn't provide an advanced customized dashboard. I don't like that basic, Home assistant like type of dashboard.
Back to Webthings gateway
I switched back to Mozilla gateway, because it suits me much better, but I also keept the NodeRed as the main event-driven communication.
The communication protocol remains the same
All my house sensors still communicate with the new gateway from NodeRed using the MQTT protocol. It's light, fast and secure. The communication between gateway and the wall mounted tablets is now made using the MQTT (again).
The app design
The android app design has slightly changed. Below is the latest UI interface for the tablets:
The screensaver is changed as you can see.
