First updates for this year

I changed the main layout. Again. Why? Simple. I need to know from a single look at my tablet, what is the status of the whole system.

I mean, I needed to know what are status of devices, weather, network, events, notifications, in one single look.

After that, if I need more details about something, to be accesible in a different panel/screen.

For example, in the main screen it is shown the current room temperature, but in the temperatures screen it is displayed the temperatures of all rooms of the house and status about the heating devices.

The main screen shows the current outside temperature and weather status, but the weather screen shows detailed info about the current day and a three days weather prediction.

New improvements and updates

The improvements for this update is the new layout of the main screen and of the daydream.

The main screen is now divided in three sections, each section with two sub-section.

The daydream layout shows me the time, the date, the room's temperature, the outside temperature, and different iconic notifications

The iconic notifications can be related to devices status, network status and calendar events

The latest layout

I have changed the main layout of the tablets as in the photo below:

The project goes on MQTT much more stable, customizable and faster than TCP client-server/java-python protocol (I struggled month for error control, too much effort for such small good results)

The daydream layout is changed also and now it's able to show me the time, room's temperature, outside temperature and icon weather status. The weather prediction is obtained from darksky.

Avalon became flaON

With the latest added feaures and improved codings I decided to rename my project from Avalon to flaON.

Now I have three mounted tablets in each room of the house, two raspberry PIs (Freddy and Barney) each one of them with different running services and an old PC computer that's running Windows as a PLEX server formy movies

Also, an Alexa mini was added to my flaON system :-)
